I Had a Feeling

The roommate is pregnant!

Why Am I Not Surprised!?

Long story Short:

Jenna gets an apartment w her friend (has not known this friend very long, but you know how kids are-very trusting). Both girls work at the same establishment. One week before 'move in' Jenna's friend QUITS her job (very imature move!). I try convincing Jenna to move into a one bedroom- she fights my request at first but then realizes she would have to stay with us (NO ONE wants to stay with us). She calls the complex and she is told that one may open up in a few days and if not in September. She is expected to meet with the complex the next day. In the meantime her FRIEND's mom calls Jenna and tells her that SHE will pay her daughters first month rent and not to back out because her daughter will get a job. I keep insisting to Jenna NOT to let that happen, but Jenna listens to her FRIEND's MOM (not me!).

Jenna's friend goes on a few interviews- none work out-- Jenna keeps giving her friend advice on 'don't wait for them to call you- you call them'-- her friend gets frustrated (probably 'cause Jenna is sounding like a mom). All of a sudden- her friend says that she can't handle it - she can't get a job and she is really stressed out so her mom is going to call the complex to see what it will take to move Jenna to a one bedroom!

What the HE**?! BIG learning experience for Jenna-- don't know the result yet--- BUT I will say that Jenna should really take the time to listen to me!

One Less Kid

Whew Whew--- one less kid in my house!!! (Well she is not really a 'kid' anymore BUT ....) Today was Jenna's official first day in her new apartment w her friend (girl). We visited and brought over some needed items for her bed. Her apartment is cute. It needs some 'fixin up' in certain areas, but if she tells the 'apartment people' then hopefully they will fix these little things and everything will be in ship shape.

I think it is hilarious to see Jenna -so concerned- about the neatness of her apartment--- she was NEVER concerned about neatness at our house. So with that said--- payback is a **** (you know what payback is)--- I made sure to leave some obvious signs behind (couple of pee pee diapers-wrapped up nicely of course- hee hee). Hopefully this will teach her that when she is at 'home' that she respects others belongings (put away dirty dishes, throw away your Whataburger bags, empty your cans of DP and throw the can away, clean up after you shower, put away food after you eat it--the list goes on and on and on). I'm sure she will never learn until she is married w kids. God be with her when that happens 'cause she'll need it!

I Hit the JACKPOT

Yipee- today we (the girls - all 3 and I) finally got to go to the Frisco Resell Shop. We headed towards the toys (which they moved to a smaller section of the store). We really had to dig! After digging- Miss Aimee/ Mommy - hit the JACKPOT!!!! I found a big zipper bag of really taken care of Princess and a Prince Barbies (like 6) with Princess clothes! WOW I was thrilled and then I found a huge Ziplock bag of Barbie clothes for $3.99! I was in Barbie Heaven. The girls gave me the 'WOW' that I needed to really make me feel like my trip was worthwhile. We went and picked up a few kid books and headed to the register-- Total spent $20--Woohoo!!!!

Afterwards the girls were hungry and I did not want to go home yet so we drove up and down Downtown Frisco until we could find an inexpensive place to feed a couple of girls. I pulled into a Custard place but it was too expensive so I kept driving and found the perfect place. It is called 'Del's'. They had $1.75 hotdogs and $1.00 cherry slushies!!! WooHoo!!!!!

Everything was going great UNTIL Gia got very upset that I did not hand her a slush--- I thought she could share w Lexi. So I went and bought her one and I thought I could share with her. This did not solve the problem- she continued to cry and scream like I have NEVER seen before.

After the girls ate- we left quickly (I apologized to the lady in charge on my way out) - we buckled the girls in and 4 minutes later Gia was passed out!!!! I guess she was really tired!

BTW- the Princess Barbies sing (which was really cool at first, but an hour into it-- WOA I had to set some boundaries!)

First Trip to the Movies

I believe on Tuesday- the boys took Lexi to the movies-- this was her very first trip to the movie theatre. Wall-E was the movie of choice. Lexi was very excited to go. We filled the diaper bag with Dr Pepper and Sour Skittles! She sat in Ryan's lap because she was afraid the chair was going to collapse on her. She talked to the girl in front of her- even though the girl did not talk back. She laughed out loud and absolutely loved her 'ticket' (she napped with it). Halfway through the movie she wanted 'Mommy'! Time to go home!

She came home and said she had fun but wanted Mommy! I tried to explain to her that Ricky and Ryan were sad (not really) because they wanted her to see the entire movie and they took really good care of her and made sure she got enough Skittles. She did not want to hear and said that she missed me and wanted me to take care of her.

Change in Plans

Since I only had one babysitting kid, I was going to take the girls (Lex, Gia, and Reese) to the Frisco Resell Shop to pick out some new (actually used) toys for the kids to play with (maybe a couple of cars for Cameron and Ethan) and then go for ice cream. Sadly as I was loading the girls in the car-- I noticed the back tire was very low! Unfortunately plans HAD to change. So with that said- we headed ALL the way ACROSS town to the Discount Tire (love, love Discount Tire). They said it would take 1 hour to 1 hour-15 minutes for them to see and fix my car. I thought 'no problem we will go eat pizza at Red Brick Oven and let them eat Gelatto' (I think that is what they call their ice cream). I also thought 'Super- they have TV's at every table :-0 ' Well, Lex and Reese were pretty good- I kept having to encourage them to eat their pizza (cause it wasn't cheap!) Gia was quite annoying- she was wiggly and then all over me.

After pizza we headed back to the tire shop and grabbed a seat-- tick tock tick tock (that is the clock- it kept going and going and going). The girls sat, played, ran around, played w the tires, fought, whined, cried, pooped etc....

We were there for approx 2 and 1/2 hours. I wanted to scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So after they repaired my tire and they pulled my car up--- no charge (yea!!!!) we went home and al
l the girls are sleeping :-)

I am pooped and I am glad that is something I don't have to do often. Hopefully we will hit the resell shop next week!

Okay- I Heard You

Gia is slowly starting to build her vocabulary and when she says something- (like ALL kids) if you don't respond she will keep saying it over and over and over. On top of it- Gia's sound of voice is not sweet- it is kind of 'man' like.

'I'm Done' & 'Down'

I Can't Wait For Her to Learn to Eat Like a Young Lady- Hee Hee

At the beginning- Gia is blinking because she thought I was going to take a picture-so she was getting ready for the flash. Later in the video- she is yelling at me to 'Stop It'. She learns well from her Big Sis how to talk :-)

Some Evil Has Entered Into My 3 Year Olds Body

People say terrible TWOs- try horrible THREEs!!!! I am hoping as a few more months pass- she won't be so EVIL!!!! I'm not sure if it is her -all of a sudden- over reacting ways or if it is the new voice that she has started to use. The awful - shrieking- whiney voice! How can I make her stop?!

One minute she is screaming and crying and then the next minute she is Ms Happy Go Lucky!

I am Tired!!!!

Wow- I am pooped!!!! Actually it began when Jenna called us at midnight and asked if we wanted to talk about a little 'situation' that happened that day-- UH NO- try in the morning. Than at 1AM Lexi began to scream for cartoons--- in turn that woke Gia up. I turned cartoons on for Lexi- went back and layed down to see how long it would take Gia to (hopefully) fall back asleep. Sometimes if I go in their too soon- Gia will latch onto me and insist to sleep in bed with us (misery!). 30 minutes later she was still screaming- so I got a bottle (yes- she still takes bottles!)- changed her diaper and said 'night night'- worked like a charm :-) One hour later- Lexi comes screaming down our hallway- 'I want chocolate milk!' (When I had changed Gia's diaper- I checked Lex and she was asleep)--so where this came from I just don't know. So I got up - got her milk as I stumbled in the dark - gave it to Lexi and she fell asleep between Daddy and I!!!! NOT FUN!!!!

Alarm went off at 7:10am--time to start work ~~~~

YAWN!!!!!!!!!

Key to Potty Training

Make them SIT until the poo starts to flow!!!!

Too many times- I have become impatient and let Lexi get up from the potty- just to have her 'mess' her Princess undies. Today I had her sit and sit and sit (she is actually still sitting) and scream and cry and coach her. Uh- hope it teaches her and helps motivate her to 'PUSH' so she can finish watching her Baby Bratz movie :-)

BTW- This is not a pic from today-- I would not have dared taken a photo today-- too cruel!

Starbuck's Mom

Having a babysitting mom that works at Starbucks can make you FAT!!!!

So I watch her 3 year old daughter--- she asks me my favorite Starbucks drink-- I tell her-- she says 'I'll bring you one everyday!' --- I said 'Please don't- I'll get fat really fast- how 'bout once a week?!'--- So today she brought me a huge Caramel Frappacino along with $10.99 or was it $12.99 donuts!!! OMG-- $12.99 donuts? Who the heck would buy those? Welll- she got them for free because they were day old-- I was okay with that. Since I was already feeling fat and since the girls had made brownies that day- I stuck them in the freezer. I am thinking they had better be the best donuts anyone has ever made at $12.99 a box!

I Was Really Only Looking for a Dive or a Dump

and we ended up at Medieval Times. On Saturday- we (Ryan, Rick, Lexi, Gia, and me) piled in the car and drove. My goal was to look for a 'dive or a dump' for lunch/dinner. We drove and drove and drove. We ended up in Greenville- almost stopped at a Mexican Food restuarant, but a cracked out homeless man gave my husband the creeps!

As we were driving, my husband mentioned Medieval Times- sounded like a great- VERY LAST MINUTE idea. So w/o hesitation, we went to Medieval Times. Dang, I wish we had a coupon, but we were lucky in that the girls were FREE and they got a full meal-- so Ryan and Rick got two full meals :-) Their food is soooooooooo good- I wish I had ordered a vegie plate- since there was so much meat on the table- I was really craving some broc and cauli!

As Lexi and Gia wore their $20 Princess crowns (I really need to tear one apart and learn how to make those things) , sat on each of our laps------ the lights went down, the show began and Lexi almost had a heart attack. I really don't blame her because when the lights went out- two Medieval characters came smashing out of the gate with full armor on-- horrible/loud/ scary music was playing and the fighting began. Too much for a 3 year old--not too much for Gia-- she was sitting in my lap 'chillin'!

Thank goodness Rick was holding her and not me. I would have babyed her, however Rick treated her like a big girl, and she quickly got over it AND had the best time!!! The Yellow Knight threw my Lexi a red carnation because she was the most beautiful princess in our section :-)

So we had a great time-- however on the way to the car Lexi fell because her boots are a tad too big and scrapped her knees-- her heart was broken and she was exhausted AND did I mention during the show-- Gia peed on me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Definition of 'Sanity'

Getting every child in your house (including daycare kids) to NAP at the SAME time!!!!!

Could Gia be Part Dog?

I swear I am not obsessed with poop and pee, but babys make for some interesting stories!

Yesterday- Gia pulled her diaper off (I think it had pee pee in it)-- I told her to go and show Daddy -- so she ran into our bedroom--of course my husband had his head in baseball so he did not even know she was running around w/o a diaper. I went in to check on her and she still had no diaper on and was running around as happy as could be--- HOWEVER---- behind her were 'POOP NUGGETS'!!!! Oh my-- that child! I did not take any photos, but I should have - for blackmail in the future :-0

Yes, A Boppy Could Be Mistaken for a Training Potty!!

Let me give you some history: Whenever Lexi (or anyone) would go potty on the BIG potty --Gia would sit in the purple Boppy that was placed across from the BIG potty. The Boppy was placed across from the BIG potty because we knew that Gia liked to pretend to poop or pee; while across from her the real thing was happening. Whenever Gia would pretend to potty she would actually insist on having toilet paper and she would pretend to 'wipe'.

Long story, longer--- today I was getting ready for Gia to take a bath. As the bath water was running I took Gia's diaper off and let her 'RUN'! She loves to run around naked!!! She ran into the kitchen, she ran into the living room, she ran to where her daddy was and then she ran to the purple Boppy that was on the kitchen floor - sat down - took care of business-- got up and started running again!!! My baby girl took a pee pee in the purple Boppy. Could this be a sign!?!?!?

Yes, that is gross, but she took a pee pee--not on the floor, not in her diaper, not in the bath tub-- but in her purple Boppy!!!! That's my girl!

Okay- if you are wondering- 'Yes' I bleached the purple Boppy and 'Yes' I took a few pictures that I will post!

Mom & Dad's Night Out

Saturday night- Rick and I 'snuck' out. We actually did not sneak out - we just told Ryan that we were going to the store and then to the barn to feed his animal. We did this, but we also made a stop at the Mckinney Tavern- it was Karaoke Night!!! We got a front row seat.

At Karaoke Night - the same folks are always there- singing their hearts away--normally 'old' songs that I have never heard and giving each other high fives.

One of the regulars brought his new lady friend with him. He looked in her eyes and sang to her, he danced with her, she cried, --it was true love. Unfortunately, alcohol has a way of making people turn EVIL!!!! ALL OF A SUDDEN the 'lady friend' was screaming and telling her man friend that 'it's over!', 'your balls are cut off', 'you are through', 'you mean nothing', 'its over'. la dee da da!!!! However- after a couple of Karaoke favorites- she was in a world of 'happy'!!!!

Gosh- I am lucky!!!

Fourth of July

Next year is my goal to plan a Fourth of July event for the family. Since Lexi has been born we have done nothing but watch fireworks from our yard--not too fun! This year our big Fourth adventure was (I think) going to the Cotton Patch to eat, Walmart and somewhere else. Afterwards the girls and I took a long and needed nap. When we woke up- we walked to the local baseball field and watched some fireworks and got bit by a couple of hungry ants. On our walk home- as the girls were relaxing in the stroller a huge firework went off a few feet in front of us. Needless to say, this freaked Lexi out. It was really cool, but I wish the neighbors that set it off - would have given us some warning!

I'm Hired!!!!!

Yea- I had an UNEXPECTED interview today to watch a year old baby boy. Everything went great and I was hired :-) Mom is a school teacher- love school teacher hours- and will be using me as 'drop in 'care during the summer and 100% during the school year.

I HAD an interview today that was scheduled but unfortunately she was a 'no call no show'
:-( Maybe she got too wrapped up in the holiday.

I also have another interview Monday for an infant that is due in August! That would put the icing on the cake!

Interview

One interview down- one more to go. Today's interview went really well. Baby Ethan was AdOrAbLe!!!! We shall see what the future brings.

'I Hate Diapers'

'If you start wearing panties and no more diapers we will go to Disney!'----Said Mom
'I hate diapers. I love Disney! I can't wait!'----Said Lexi

I know this is a HUGE bribe, but we plan on going (hopefully) sometime this year so this is a good bribe.

Lexi woke up in good spirits this morning- sat on the potty for almost 30 minutes while I read 5 books and then put her plastic training undies on--no crying- no yelling- and no complaints! Praise Jesus- let's see how long this will last.

I will keep the Disney 2008 Vacation Planning Video in the VCR-to keep reminding her.

Plastic Underware

'I want my white diaper!' Tears---Tears--- AND MORE Tears!!!!!

It is TIME for me to BUCKLE DOWN and get my Lou Lou Potty Trained!!!

So my friend gave me some plastic undies AND are they ugly!!!! (I think that Lexi agrees)

After bath- we put them on her and made her wear them for at least an hour-- she cried and screamed, but calmed down when we put some soccer looking shorts over them. No pee pee accidents within that hour- only a poopy smudge or two (which is to be expected from a screaming child).

Pray for us- because tomorrow is the true test of patience- I am hoping it to be an ALL DAY affair!!!! If I can snap a pic of her in her cool undies- I'll post it- but she will probably be screaming!

I Started A Blog!!! I Am Cool Now!!!!

Since -so it seems- that everyone has a blog these days- I thought that I would start one. I love to share how my girls are growing and the fun things that we did or didn't do. I am really hoping that I can remember to keep up with this thing and that people read it :-)
