It's a Beautiful Day!

My order from Market came rolling in today and OH MY GOSH---- I have so much work to do.

First thing was first- we went to Rack Room Shoes and Converse--BOTH stores gave me tax free and BOTH stores were having a BUY 1 Get ! Half Off!!! Whew that really helped me cut down some cost--Yipee Ya Ya!!!

Now I just need to hit some stores (Target and Walmart) and buy some pacis!!!! Golly I hope Walmart has restocked :-)

Good Week

What can I say- It was a pretty good week!

*Lexi started school and did an AWESOME job at waking up and getting ready- she took an afternoon nap and went to bed by 10PM!

*I survived my work week of watching approx 3 extra kids.

*I did my best to use food we already had in our pantry and freezer in order to save money and I'll say- I did a good job w the meals I selected to make!

*I was hired to watch a 5 month old baby boy named Rocky.

*I helped to do a good deed for a friend- as painful as it was.

*Mccain chose his VP nominee- Sarah Palin --- pretty surprising, but a good choice in my opinion.

*I survived the DNC w/o throwing up --- Hillary was not so bad w her speech--- she can be pretty impressive- much more than Obama. Her opening video was interesting, but would have been 100% better if her daughter had not narrated it-- she has no personality to her voice.

*Some of my items from Sassy Bratz were taken to the Miss Latina Pageant for auction- so hopefully I'll get some more business and make some easy cash :-)

*I also got my monthly check from the daycare food program - not much but it helps

*I got my Kraft food quarterly magazine

Let's see what next week bring-- Ya Monday PAID holiday!!!!

It's the First Day of School

Today was the first day of school! Oh how wonderful! Everything went GREAT!!! Lexi got up in a very good mood-had some breakfast in bed and got dressed and was ready to go. Rick dropped her off at school and she got out of the car w a lot of excitement. Around 11:15 the bus pulled up to the front of the house and Gia, Reese, and I were there to watch her get off the bus w bells and whistles. She did not have many stories to tell, but she did come home w a smiley face sticker and a name tag stuck to her back :-)

As for the boys-- they have not come home yet- BUT it has been wonderful not to have them here. My house is clean, there is no extra and unneccessary noise and life is great.

Hopefully tomorrow turns out just as perfect!!!!!
PS Picks are out of order-- can't seem to move them where I want to move them.

Bennett Blast Off

Today is Bennett Blast Off! We get to go to the school and fight parking so that we can register Lexi for her upcoming year of school. Technically we could walk to this- which we may if we don't have anywhere to go afterwards.

I am really excited about Lexi starting school (except for the waking her up and getting her dressed part). Not only does school start 15 minutes later, but it ends 15 minutes later and then with her riding the bus home--- Whew Whew- easy living. It will make it easier to keep my sanity. Lexi is good-she just has a tendency to be a bit bossy, moody, whiney, and ridiculous at times when other kids are here being babysat. Then when she gets home- she will for sure take a nice nap :-) therefore making my day a little bit easier.

I Have Never Seen a Mall So Crowded

Since we were in the area- Rick and I decided to stop at Town East Mall. We never get to go to this mall - so since we had no kids and since it was tax free weekend we decided to check it out! The day before we went to North Park- it was a little crowded but nothing like this mall.

I have to say that I will probably not be going back to this mall- not because of the crowd but because it was a 'different' kind of mall now. The stores were not the kind of stores you see at a regular mall. I believe I saw a store where you could get a 'grill'- no it was not Sears. There are quite a bit (too many) of clothing stores that are geared towards the hip hop, baggy pants, overly long shirts community. In addition, there are too many stores that are geared towards the club scene & Hookers on the Point Ladies of the Night scene. To add, this mall had some awesome side shops (I forget the correct word)--j/k. Overall it was a waste of time mall :-( But quite an experience and something to talk about :-)

North Park is a nice mall to take the kids to-- can't shop in most of the stores (tooooo expensive), but they tend to have turtles that the kids can look at or display play houses that are out for auction. The Galleria has turned itself into a budget friendly mall also.

Oh Where Oh Where

Could my BC Patches be? Oh where Oh where could they be?

I've looked high and low and cannot seem to find them! I did- however- find Lexi's red cowgirl boots in the hallway treasure chests!

Guess it is time for another baby! JUST KIDDING!

Call Me Cinderella or Just Plain Stupid

It all started when we had a baby bird in our bushes that was pushed out of his next a bit too early. The mom of the bird would 'watch over' the bird and protect him. Being the kind and caring person that I am (:-) ) I would throw some grapes to the mommy bird so that she could chew them up and spit them in the babys mouth. Unfortunately a few days later the baby bird passed on into birdy Heavan.

A few weeks later- 2 more little birds showed up that could not fly very well, so once again I took on the job of helping to feed them.

To add, I think that all of Texas is overpopulated with bunny rabbits. They can be annoying when they eat your plants and leave small poopy trails, but for the most part they are really cute and fun to watch- especially the babys. It all started when we had a bunny that kept coming into our backyard- I think he liked our yard because we have nice bushes that shade well.

One day I had some old lettuce- not too old, but good enough for a bunny- so I threw some towards the bunny. The little bunny came up to the lettuce and gobbled it up as the girls watched happily. As the days went by and as the bunny visited us - practically every day and night- we would feed him grapes and lettuce.

I started to feel like Cinderella when this bunny continued to visit but would also come really close to the family-- like he was one of us! I also started to feel like Cinderella when these same 3 birds (2 kids and their mom) would sit on the fence post (leaving a nice trail of bird poo) and chirp and chirp and chirp until I walked outside and threw grapes at each of them!

Today is 'key' that I am possibly Cinderella or just plain stupid!!!!-- I hear the birds chirping- I guess I blocked them out- like I do my own kids---my husband said 'Um your bird friend is in the window sill looking at Gia!' Sure enough that darn bird was standing w his face up against the window looking straight at Gia as she looked out. Coincidence- I think NOT!!! A little while later the same bird- or another- they do look alike-- was on our patio table (which is up against our window) was chirping as he was looking into our house!

Cinderella or Just Plain Stupid!?!?!? Gosh- I hope I don't turn into the Crazy Bird Lady- like Heidi Fleiss!

Documentaries

I have recently become really obsessed with documentaries- whether I agree with them or not- I love them. I think I am really driving my family crazy with them. Some recents that I have seen are:

China's Stolen Children- very sad- I knew of this but seeing it really hits hard
Ganja Queen- WOW- at first I thought this lady was innocent but after really watching it- I think she had to have had something to do with it
Hard Times at Douglass High- thank God for living in a good neighborhood and not growing up in the Ghetto!
Heidi Fleiss: The Would Be Madam of Crystal- this chick is nuts!
Resolved- I'm all for the armed forces, but 'dang' these recruiters (as I already knew) are hard core sales people--- put your family out of your mind- they have to get their 'numbers' and they will do it by any means!

Accomplished

Today I almost went crazy!!! My Lexi is simply not nice to others. She needs and wants her space and makes sure that everyone knows!

I did accomplish cleaning my bathrooms (except the master tub) and swept my floors and ate something really good (Mexican food). The kids and I stayed home- I was too tired to leave. I had an interview to watch 2 boys (siblings)- not sure if it will happen- if it does- great- I'll have to go shopping for some army men--if not- then that is okay with me.

YAWN!!!!!!!!!!! So Sleepy!

Can't wait for the season finale of Tori and Dean!

Today

I hope to clean my bathrooms and sweep my floors and dust my bedroom!

I hope to get the kids out of the house and go somewhere and maybe buy them a little toy or some ice cream!

I hope to teach my husband how to talk in a normal voice- so that kids do not wake up- he does not realize that people hear him fine- it is just he cannot hear them.

I hope to eat something really good today :-)

Happy Birthday To Me

Yesterday was my birthday and it was not so bad---

*Babysat until around 5:30 (3 kids)
*Rick and I went to the movies and watched 'Step Brothers'-- it was pretty funny--but I would have rather watched it at home in my bed under the covers-- more comfy!
*Went and ate at 'Bostons'. I ordered the 'Trio' (Lasagna, noodles, and chicken). It was big but I anticipated eating more the next day; unfortunately I ate too much and got a nasty tummy ache.
*Got home and got my present- a cute jewelry box--it was perfect and much needed! I organized all my earrings and necklaces. I feel so organized and my jewelry is happy.
*I also put the girls pony tail bands and clippies in the bag that my sister made me---Gosh it feels so wonderful to have everything together.
*Got two of the BEST cards from my husband - one from the kids and one from him-- he actually picked the BEST cards- they were perfect.
*Slept w a heating pad on my tummy- only to be woken up at 6AM to a 3 year old yelling 'Mommy! I want my cartoons and chocolate milk', but after that - a babysitting mom called to cancel since her son was sick-- that was a nice break- even though money was lost.
*Today I will light the candles on the cake that Rick bought for me and have the girls sing me 'Happy Birthday'.
*Last- I am waiting patiently for the cell phone that Rick is suppose to get for me- mine is broken and really torn up!
