I Had a Feeling

The roommate is pregnant!

Why Am I Not Surprised!?

Long story Short:

Jenna gets an apartment w her friend (has not known this friend very long, but you know how kids are-very trusting). Both girls work at the same establishment. One week before 'move in' Jenna's friend QUITS her job (very imature move!). I try convincing Jenna to move into a one bedroom- she fights my request at first but then realizes she would have to stay with us (NO ONE wants to stay with us). She calls the complex and she is told that one may open up in a few days and if not in September. She is expected to meet with the complex the next day. In the meantime her FRIEND's mom calls Jenna and tells her that SHE will pay her daughters first month rent and not to back out because her daughter will get a job. I keep insisting to Jenna NOT to let that happen, but Jenna listens to her FRIEND's MOM (not me!).

Jenna's friend goes on a few interviews- none work out-- Jenna keeps giving her friend advice on 'don't wait for them to call you- you call them'-- her friend gets frustrated (probably 'cause Jenna is sounding like a mom). All of a sudden- her friend says that she can't handle it - she can't get a job and she is really stressed out so her mom is going to call the complex to see what it will take to move Jenna to a one bedroom!

What the HE**?! BIG learning experience for Jenna-- don't know the result yet--- BUT I will say that Jenna should really take the time to listen to me!

One Less Kid

Whew Whew--- one less kid in my house!!! (Well she is not really a 'kid' anymore BUT ....) Today was Jenna's official first day in her new apartment w her friend (girl). We visited and brought over some needed items for her bed. Her apartment is cute. It needs some 'fixin up' in certain areas, but if she tells the 'apartment people' then hopefully they will fix these little things and everything will be in ship shape.

I think it is hilarious to see Jenna -so concerned- about the neatness of her apartment--- she was NEVER concerned about neatness at our house. So with that said--- payback is a **** (you know what payback is)--- I made sure to leave some obvious signs behind (couple of pee pee diapers-wrapped up nicely of course- hee hee). Hopefully this will teach her that when she is at 'home' that she respects others belongings (put away dirty dishes, throw away your Whataburger bags, empty your cans of DP and throw the can away, clean up after you shower, put away food after you eat it--the list goes on and on and on). I'm sure she will never learn until she is married w kids. God be with her when that happens 'cause she'll need it!

I Hit the JACKPOT

Yipee- today we (the girls - all 3 and I) finally got to go to the Frisco Resell Shop. We headed towards the toys (which they moved to a smaller section of the store). We really had to dig! After digging- Miss Aimee/ Mommy - hit the JACKPOT!!!! I found a big zipper bag of really taken care of Princess and a Prince Barbies (like 6) with Princess clothes! WOW I was thrilled and then I found a huge Ziplock bag of Barbie clothes for $3.99! I was in Barbie Heaven. The girls gave me the 'WOW' that I needed to really make me feel like my trip was worthwhile. We went and picked up a few kid books and headed to the register-- Total spent $20--Woohoo!!!!

Afterwards the girls were hungry and I did not want to go home yet so we drove up and down Downtown Frisco until we could find an inexpensive place to feed a couple of girls. I pulled into a Custard place but it was too expensive so I kept driving and found the perfect place. It is called 'Del's'. They had $1.75 hotdogs and $1.00 cherry slushies!!! WooHoo!!!!!

Everything was going great UNTIL Gia got very upset that I did not hand her a slush--- I thought she could share w Lexi. So I went and bought her one and I thought I could share with her. This did not solve the problem- she continued to cry and scream like I have NEVER seen before.

After the girls ate- we left quickly (I apologized to the lady in charge on my way out) - we buckled the girls in and 4 minutes later Gia was passed out!!!! I guess she was really tired!

BTW- the Princess Barbies sing (which was really cool at first, but an hour into it-- WOA I had to set some boundaries!)

First Trip to the Movies

I believe on Tuesday- the boys took Lexi to the movies-- this was her very first trip to the movie theatre. Wall-E was the movie of choice. Lexi was very excited to go. We filled the diaper bag with Dr Pepper and Sour Skittles! She sat in Ryan's lap because she was afraid the chair was going to collapse on her. She talked to the girl in front of her- even though the girl did not talk back. She laughed out loud and absolutely loved her 'ticket' (she napped with it). Halfway through the movie she wanted 'Mommy'! Time to go home!

She came home and said she had fun but wanted Mommy! I tried to explain to her that Ricky and Ryan were sad (not really) because they wanted her to see the entire movie and they took really good care of her and made sure she got enough Skittles. She did not want to hear and said that she missed me and wanted me to take care of her.

Change in Plans

Since I only had one babysitting kid, I was going to take the girls (Lex, Gia, and Reese) to the Frisco Resell Shop to pick out some new (actually used) toys for the kids to play with (maybe a couple of cars for Cameron and Ethan) and then go for ice cream. Sadly as I was loading the girls in the car-- I noticed the back tire was very low! Unfortunately plans HAD to change. So with that said- we headed ALL the way ACROSS town to the Discount Tire (love, love Discount Tire). They said it would take 1 hour to 1 hour-15 minutes for them to see and fix my car. I thought 'no problem we will go eat pizza at Red Brick Oven and let them eat Gelatto' (I think that is what they call their ice cream). I also thought 'Super- they have TV's at every table :-0 ' Well, Lex and Reese were pretty good- I kept having to encourage them to eat their pizza (cause it wasn't cheap!) Gia was quite annoying- she was wiggly and then all over me.

After pizza we headed back to the tire shop and grabbed a seat-- tick tock tick tock (that is the clock- it kept going and going and going). The girls sat, played, ran around, played w the tires, fought, whined, cried, pooped etc....

We were there for approx 2 and 1/2 hours. I wanted to scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So after they repaired my tire and they pulled my car up--- no charge (yea!!!!) we went home and al
l the girls are sleeping :-)

I am pooped and I am glad that is something I don't have to do often. Hopefully we will hit the resell shop next week!

Okay- I Heard You

Gia is slowly starting to build her vocabulary and when she says something- (like ALL kids) if you don't respond she will keep saying it over and over and over. On top of it- Gia's sound of voice is not sweet- it is kind of 'man' like.

'I'm Done' & 'Down'
